I have two bantam Cochin Roos who were hatched the same day out of the same clutch of shipped eggs, and they're black with gold hackles. I cannot tell them apart (and hate admitting that) so their interchangeable names are Frick and Frack. But maaan, are they cute! They hang out with three LF Lavender Orps, and it's like two little tough bodyguards stumping around with these big, lovely, regal, opera singers.
I have another bantam Cochin Roo who is larger, and - I guess - mottled black and copper. That's Nugget. Sometimes I almost call him "Knuckles" because he looks like a little cowboy in chaps, and his hackles are almost like a bandana, not quite like the golden collars of hackle feathers on Frick and Frack.
My black Cochin hen is larger than the others but I don't think she's a full-sized standard LF Cochin. Lola is totally black, no other colors at all.
