Thank you so much tellynpeep that too is what I needed to find Tuesday is day 7 for me and I've been peeking at some eggs and see veins but I may have some blood rings so very good to know what to toss. I too am on my first hatch.

Oh Telly! Thanks so much. That helped me. I think that I must have a bacteria issue. I candled last night and took out about 1/2 that I knew for sure were not viable.....porous eggs and not fertilized. There were two I was not sure about so I cracked them open and there were two little developing chicks. I don't think they were still developing though. I still can't see through my EE eggs and the rest I am pretty sure are doing something. I still don't see veins though so maybe my little light isn't strong enough.

I will patiently await day 18..........
