I am a Bantam... But what kind?

So I was going to take a picture today but i find that nothing really has changed about her in one week besides she has a fewos more pearl whitewhite wing feathers..... But she was already getting those......

My guess is mottled japanese... but she has the most spots I have seen on a chick, May be wrong.

You can easily tell if Japanese by shank (upper leg) length. Japanese bantam shanks are very short, giving them a 'closer to the ground' look.

The pics you posted looked that way, but hard to tell. My first thought was badly colored white black-tail Japanese, but you are probably right, mottled would fit the spots better.

Not all chicks look like the pictures - especially hatchery chicks.

I have an Ideal bantam assortment at a friend's that I am picking up this weekend. I can't wait to see what they look like and try to figure them out! I'd go now if she weren't two hours away.
