hi everyone! I’ve had ducks now for 3 years! I inherited my daughters 2 female Pekins when she left for college! They are a riot! They are indoor outdoor ducks and total opposites of each other...That Duck is energetic, runs everywhere and talks all the time! Pato is so chill, walks soooo slooow unless peas are involved! A year ago I couldn’t stand it anymore and got 4 new ducklings! There are 2 males and 2 females, Laverne and Shirley (that’s the male) who are Rouens, and Loosie and Goosie who are jumbo pekins! The video is Laverne who surprisingly hatched out 7 babies! I had to separate them because Goosie became aggressive towards the babies. He is the most loving duck and when I have him on my lap he snuggles up and constantly gives me hugs! Loosie is to wiggly to be held but she will give hugs and snuggles if I bend over her! Shirley will snuggle a bit when I pick him up and calm him down, and Laverne is the same. Shirley protected Laverne as soon as the eggs started to hatch and stayed in the pen with her for the first 2 days and then he was done! I’ll be back with behavior questions soon! Thank you for adding me to your flock! Being a duck slave is a lonely job!
