Started off with one Cornish X chick b/c my daughter wanted to bring it home from her preschool project. Then came here in an attempt to learn more about caring for her. Got lured in. Enablers convinced me to get her friends. I did. Not ONE friend. TWO friends. And I want more.

Actually now I want a goat and you guys are not helping me stop myself!

I live smack in the city outside of Waikiki and this isn't a farm neighborhood for sure! By law we're only supposed to have 2 poultry on property and I've got 3! I'm resisting going over to check to see what the law on goats is...AUGH!!!!!

Did I mention I have 10 more gooses coming Wednesday? My family doesn't know yet, see they like to sleep in. Me - I'm the animal care person around here and I get up at the crack of dawn - which just happens to be right about the time the PO calls to tell me my gooses are in.

They'll never notice 10 more gooses running around the place.

BuckeyeDave I told my DH what you said and he was not a chicken person at all but he entirrely agrees. Of course now that my two favorites are crowing and I can't keep them he said I can order more chicks

Hey BuckeyeDave, I also have Lionhead rabbits. I went to a breeder to buy a Flemish Giant, and she had two extra Lionheads that I could have for free. So I came home with 3 rabbits instead of one. But you're right, caring for 3 is no worse than caring for 1.

My name is Lisa. I am an addict. And this is exactly how I wound up with four turkey poults when I went to pick up five guinea hen keets while our eight black sex links were still in the brooder box. Fortunately we had rubbermaid containers, a roll of chicken wire and several lights. Otherwise, I don't know what I would have done. Oh and wire cutters.

I just realized that I could have picked up some ducklings as well. Darn it.

I am going to add on to my post from earlier in the thread. The week of July 7 I will be getting 23 cornish roasters, 1 BO, 1 RIR, 1 mystery chick
gig.gif

Add that to the 18 cornish Xs and 2 black minorcas, and 1 amercuana. Did I ever tell anyone I love chickens
