Sounds like an interesting group of critters! I've never heard of goats keeping rattlesnakes away. I don't think my mini goats want to do any kind of useful work at all; they are constantly testing my fences, so maybe that's their job? :confused:

I love that your chickens are all pets and are rewarding you with five eggs daily.

I have a 7 year old Wyandotte rooster. Rusty is very sweet and I have 5 hens. Two are new Bantam hens. My other three are a year old snd all are very happy. I have a chicken coop with a surrounding area fenced in with a roof. We have Goats so they help keep rattlesnakes away. We have 9 cats which are all good with our chickens. We let them free roam around and under the cabin next to their coup. They stick close to the buildings around them. All are happy and we get 5 eggs a day. They are pets.

Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.
