I am *considering* getting a Polish hen. I do not know where to get one, however, that is around 16-20 weeks old.

I have a 2 week old polish roo if anybody wants him. He came as a mystery chick & won’t be the best fit here since my flock is mostly free range.
I'd love to take him if I could! But sadly we're at our max with roosters. I already have to house 2 silkie roosters together with only 3 hens, and I don't know what a 3rd will do if thrown into the mix. So sorry. Are there any pictures of him? I'd still love to see

I’ll have to get some pictures. He seems like he’ll be quite the looker. If he stays I’ll have to sort him out housing. Or I suppose I could trim his mop feathers so he can see.

One thing I did with a few of my silkies that couldn't see very well was get a small baby hair tie (no bigger than the circumference of my pinky) and pop one of those on their heads to keep the feathers collected all on top. 🤣

Whoever is interested in adding a Polish or other crested breed to their already existing flock of socalled 'normal' breeds needs to be aware that acquiring at least two, even better three is important.

Usually a crested bird like Polish, Silkies or Holland white crested will not be welcomed by a flock of 'normal' breeds which often leads to severe injuries and even death.
Only chickens that have been raised with the mentioned breeds and are accustomed to their unusual looks and behaviour should be kept together.

So, unless your flock is all crested birds you better keep the crested breeds in a separate coop and run.

And please, trim their mostly overgrown head feathers to allow for unobstructed view. Otherwise they might not only have no way to orientate but even starve to death as has happened to a friend of mine with her beloved white Silkie hen.

I have 4 polish (I think one could possibly be a rooster) 3 White Crested Black Polish and 1 Golden Polish. I love them and keep them separate from my other flock that they arrived with as chicks April 2 from McMurray. They have started to lay an egg once in a while.

If you are in Prescott or Metro Phoenix AZ area devoted to Polish or similar that would want them I think they would be better off. I can keep them as they are and it's fine but want the best for them. If you are looking for Polish in Prescott area or in Metro Phoenix let me know.
