Someone emailed my office and told them I spend all day online. I know who it was. What is really the kicker is that this person decided that potentially causing me to lose my job was funny.

We are a one income family right now and that was this person's idea of a joke. I am thankful that my employer is understanding and realizes that logged on does not mean surfing all day.

Why do people think that being cruel is funny?

After my recent experience at work, I'm not surprised at all.

I'm not sure how the IT depeartment is set up for you, but where I used to work, they knew every site I visited.

What can I say about that person. Nothing on a family site.

some people are just immature and cruel...and not very good at heart. To dislike someone that much that you were willing to jeopardize their living...well I just don't understand.

first and foremost, I hope you get to keep your job and all ends well. Just remember you don't have to get even or even say anything to that person. I have found with people that behave ugly usually get themselves in trouble or "paid back". If they say anything to you, just say, I am going to pray for you, and then walk away. It's nice and thoughtful but normally will totally tick a mean, hateful person off. But then you really should pray for them....this person sounds like they could use some prayers.

My IT department can see internet activity and some goofing off is allowed. My boss told me this morning, "this person is not your friend". Yeah no kidding. All is fine at work, especially once I tell them the full story. Most of us at work are over 45 years old, so games aren't tolerated at all, and this will likely make him mad. Not at me either.

I suppose by 9pm I will be over it.
