Some things don't need to be on the www.

Let me just say that it's not as bad OR good as you hear. Mileage may vary.

Wow, I'm right there with you! I'm always saying, "Is it hot in here, or is it me?" My kids reply, "Hot flash, Mom." Sigh............I just really, really hate the all-over itching in the middle of the night! I was starting to think I had some kind of critters all over me until my sis' told me it was a part of menopause!!

Here's a quote from my 6th grade son: "They shouldn't let women be teachers after they go through menopause! They're too grouchy!" He really did say that, which surprised me, because I had no idea he even knew the word "menopause"!

Lordie I'm only 43 and I've been doing the night sweats and fatigue for a year. There's some other not so mentionable things that have happened as well. I was reading that Dr Phil's wife has been doing some supplements from a Dr that was on his show and it has really helped. I'm ready to go and get it myself. I have about one week a month that I feel good. And oh the mood swings. I am thoroughly convinced that many women don't recognize what is going on and go to their regular md's and get put on anti-depressents because dr's think the problem is depression and it's just a symptom of peri and meno so they treat the depression and not the peri or meno.

Last summer I had something really wierd happen. Don't know if it's the peri. But I bent down to tie my daughters shoe and when I stood up I felt like my face was literally on fire. Not hot but very on fire. I really hope that's not what a true hot flash feels like because it was very painful and really scary.
