I'd say cockerel with that light coloration and very red comb.

Is that true of Dominique's as a whole? We have three 6 week old Dominiques, two have more black than white and the one with more white also has a slightly larger comb...probable roo?

Yes, due to genetics, the barring (white parts) show up more heavily in males, giving them an overall lighter look. The females look darker because they have less barring.
