No, NOT the one whose dog killed my chickens.....
Warning: I am definately feeling sorry for myself, so if you're not in the mood for it, don't read this!

On my days off, I let the goats out in the yard for a couple hours. They stick around the front of the house and on my porch or follow me around if I am outside. I have never seen them go farther up the driveway to the other end of the duplex where the "caretaker" lives. The entrance to his apt is on the opposite END of the building (not on the side).
Anyhow, his crackhead, drunk girlfriend was apperently wandering around and the goats followed her back to that end of the building where for some unknown reason, she propped the screen door open and proceeded to pass out.
Two 2 month old baby goats went bouncing around all over his apt, pooping and peeing and of course, the BED is the favorite spot.
I saw him driving down the driveway earlier this afternoon and he gave me a dirty look. I figured he had a fight with the GF or maybe it had something to do with the sheriff that was looking for him yesterday with a warrent or summons or something. Well, he came back a couple hours later, drunk as hell and banged on my door and proceeded to tell me that my animals would have to go and I couldn't be having all these dogs and goats and chickens and that HE has the ear of the landlord and since the landlord didn't have the balls to say anything to me, HE would. Funny thing is that he is living here rent free because of an agreement with the previous owner of the property. He is supposed to be doing grounds maintenance, but has not been keeping up with it. While I doubt he has any actual clout, if he complains, the landlord may change his mind about me being able to have my animals. He IS from New Jersey. (new landlord, just bought the place less than a year ago)
I apologized for the goats and said I wouldn't let them loose anymore and offered to clean, pay for a maid service or whatever and he said no, he already cleaned it up. He DID admit that if the door hadn't been propped open, which should not have been done, and he says he kicked the GF out. (yeah, that will last till the next time he goes back to the bar and meets up with her again) He complained about my dogs barking. I have been living here for over 2 years and it wasn't until the 2 houses up the hill (new landlord's sister and neice in one and GF in the other)got dogs that bark. They bark and it sets mine off. Mine howl at sirens and that sets those dogs off. Then he complains that I am keeping the dogs in a pen and that is no life for them. My 2 outdoor dogs are in a pen that is built 1/2 in the woods and 1/2 in the yard. It is about 50x100 ft with an attached 6x8 heated doghouse. This is for 2 dogs. In an area where most people keep dogs either chained or in those 6x10ft chain link kennels.
So I am looking for a new place to live. It figures, everytime I get all the bills caught up and maybe might be able to put some in the bank, something expensive happens. If it's not vehicle repairs, having to pay security deposit, utility hook ups etc on a new place will wipe it out again. i just can;t seem to get ahead.
I can't give up my animals!
I have no friends here. (why do you think I spend so much time online?)I hate going anywhere social alone and with DH out of town so much, I never meet anyone except people that ride the horses and they are just passing through. The people I work with are either the kind of people who just don't do the same things I like to do or I don't really want to hang out with. The few that I do share interests with, my boss is so paranoid that if he sees anybody getting friendly, he manages to drive a wedge between them in any one of a dozen ways. SO co-workers are not an option.
So anyway, my animals are my only friends or family. They are what keeps me sane. If I have to give them up I just won't have anything left.

SUZI!

I'll be your family & friends!

i'm about to come kidnap you and you can live with me.
your neighbors sound pretty worthless.

Is there a group for neighbor haters? Sign me up! Mine arent as bad as yours...the old lady accross the road stole my dog a few years ago. The other one has a dog that almost bit my arm off when I was in labor and going to the car to go to the hospital. Bit me again last week. I have a 90 acre farm so thankfully they aren't too close or I'm sure they'd be worse. You have lots of friends on here! Sounds like you really need to move. Dont worry about being broke. Everyone is. My husband got fired for taking off time to take my son to the children's hospital to have a tumor removed. He will hopefully start his new job next week. We just ant seem to catch a break either. Feel free to vent anytime!

I know you guys are and thanks for the support!
It's just nice to be able to get a REAL hug once in a while!
DH is ALWAYS out of town at times like this.
and I just ticked him off on the phone cuz he was making me repeat myself and I went into a tantrum about how NOBODY ever listens to a word I say and hung up on him.
Yeah, I'm a bit upset

That's harsh! Your neighbors suck!!! I wish you lived closer to me! I'd share your interests and I could use a friend too! We've moved too much to make friends and we sure as heck don't have a bunch of money to go out and 'buy' some. lol!

It's ok, I hate neighbors too... and I don't have any! Except my doom neighbors and room mate at school who sprawls her stuff all over the floor... I just come in, trip over a few things, and use my foot to push it all over to her side of the bed... Too bad that only works on the small scale and you can't bull doze your neighbors homes over when they get in the way.

Thats why I moved 10 miles out into the country, even though I am born and raised in "Chicago". I'm a city girl, with a country style. Tehe! Friends and neighbors just ain't like they used to be. Even though I am 10 miles out in the country, its growing here. Someone started complaining to the other neighbors about my rooster crowing. Never said anything to me personally. But I got word to them, that my roo can crow anytime he wants, that is why I moved to the country.
So I suggest you get a little piece of land somewhere, even an acre. Lots of people do owner financing. Get a RV to stay in if you have too in the beginning. Get your own piece of heaven in the country (right outside the city if youneed too) and tell the animal haters to "kiss off".

Cool. a neighbor haters. I'm In. I have one one each side and out right in front. If my neighbor on the left's dogs and cats are pickin off my little sweeties, then the da-gon front neighbors dog is. I have had chickens for 3 years and I don't have but one of my originall chicks. I last 8 americana, and polish in the last 3 months. I am building a double wired pen and electricifing it. That will stop em. and if it don't I have a good trick that will. BANG!!
