We finally got our first baby chicks and I am just loving their personalities! I will be so heartbroken if any are roosters as we cannot keep them in the city.

Spud is the favorite as she is very laid back and just goes with whatever, Click will peep at me from the edge of the brooder until I pick her up where she promptly snuggles up and falls asleep, Melisha is the bully among the flock, but still a sweetheart, Goldie is the smallest, but can push her way around just fine, they are all just so much fun!

New here, lets see if I can figure this out

And being a photographer I've had a bit of fun taking pictures of them as well! Skater chick up there is Spud who was happy to go to sleep on her skateboard.

Each has an individual picture somewhere on my profile, they are lovely!

So cute! I've had chickens on and off for 16 years and it never gets old. I sat down on the ground yesterday to visit with the 9 week old babies, and Blue Bell came running over, hopped on my lap, and dropped down to sun bathe. She's definitely my favorite, while my husband will do his home work with Red sitting on his shoulder.

I think there's something going on between Splashes and my husband, because that hen straight up bolts to him on sight, and then follows him around. Splashes is coming up on 3 years old, some of them don't out grow it! Pets for sure.

I have six 3-day old chicks and was just talking to my husband about their personalities. Chicks take "Chicken-TV" to an entirely new level, I almost can't break away from watching them.

Two of mine did a chest-bump followed by an upright stare-down yesterday and I thought a fight was going to break out! Love how they do all the "big chick" things like wiping their beaks on the floor and stretching one leg and wing at the same time - only to lose their balance and fall over! And the way they sleep is priceless - saw one sleeping with her wing over the back of another as though they were hugging. Too blasted cute for words. Those are the things I'd like to get pictures of but my camera skills are lacking and I've mostly got pictures of fuzzy blurs. LOL!

They're big birds in tiny bodies, for sure. And I'm amazed at how much they've changed and grown in just the past two days.

Love your pictures, they're adorable.
