I am just wee bit concerned.

Either STOP READING ABOUT 'IT', or tell us what 'IT' is, so we can worry with you. Worry never helps anything, and it really never helps to worry alone. drink some tea, watch some dumb tv, and go to bed.

this is me slapping your hands.

Isn't that better read as "what IT might or might not be" ?

Do be careful what you read about your tests - some internet information is very, very misleading.

Many tests are ordered to EXCLUDE things, not include them.

Doctors think in a different way than other people because they are basically detectives - detectives that work from probability and statistics and logic.

This means their goal is first to exclude things, not include things.

That...and most of the things that people get tested for, are very, very curable. People are getting cured of things today that even just a few years ago, were considered very dire.

Hang tough, and remember, the doctor is a detective working off probability, they do not go through the same thought process we do - they have a very different job than the rest of us, and they think through things in the way that provides the most success for their work.

I meant 'IT' as the thing you're worrying about. the thing you're researching...

Also, the internet is totally evil, i swear. Everyone i know who has ANYTHING, i've looked up on the internet, and all the websites want to cover their butts, and say the worst possible outcomes, when reality is rarely like that. I've got a good friend who has MS, and he has had the really, really, really bad kind for so, so many years, when all websites say 6 months to a year... but he's been at that worst stage for literally 3 years, with very little deterioration... so the internet is inherently evil with that kind of stuff.... so don't freak out yet. please. and stop thinking bad thoughts!!! Think Good, Healing thoughts, and we're all praying that this turns out to be nothing.

Thinking of you and sending prayers.
You seriously don't have time to be sick right now. So we just won't let you be.

You are going to be fine. The doctor is just being a froot loop.

IT is Hepatitis C. It makes perfect sense, as I was a drug abuser years ago and it can take 20 or more years for symptoms to surface. She sent me back for quantitative testing to see what my viral load is. If it is a high viral load, I will have a biopsy on my liver to determine the level of damage and start treatment accordingly. If it is a viral load (as opposed to a high viral load) I will be undergoing months of anti-viral medications.

She sent me for the test because it is apparent my liver enzymes are WAY to high, which is a major indicator of damage. And as I read about the symptoms I have most of them. Fatigue, bone pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, vitamin deficiencies, etc. She is also checking my folate and B-12 levels.

Ugh.

I am so sorry Deb. We will just have to pray a bit harder. I know somewhere I was reading about a special diet for those with severe liver problems. I will have to see if I can find it again. Hugs
