We live in Osceola County and own 5 acres. We understand we are only able to have "6 fowl". These fowl can include both roosters and hens? Please help. Our neighbors are making a fuss. I can't stand the thought of our children losing their dreams of entering birds in 4-H.

I hope you enjoy it here! . I'm not sure about the fowl thing. I know around here, within the city limits you at only allowed 6 hens. No roosters.

Everything I'm reading says 6 fowl. I can't find the exact ordinance. Anyone familiar with the laws for this??? It's so frustrating. How would anyone be able to breed without a male?

What you could do is try a no crow collar.

You could try posting on your state thread to see if anyone is in your county. Someone that lives there may be able to help you out.

Just put no crow collars into the search feature...you'll see lots of posts, both pro & con. Just like so many other things, it will be up to you to decide what's best for you and your birds.
