This is not directed at the OP but in general
Well..as a German .. All I can say is .. dont move there. But if you think its better over there.. just go right ahead.
All in all it is a beautyful country.. but a extented army stay or a vaccation hardly will show you what is really going on over there.
Alot of EU countries have their own problems just like we have in the states now.
Plus you cant just imigrate into germany like they used to let ya. Same with Australia and other countries.
I am German.. will allways be a german in my heart( still a citizen also) but I will never ever go back to live in Europe.
I love the States..and will remain here until I die.
If it is easier living.. less laws, less taxes , less crime, less .gov involvement you seek.. might as well stay here. Because its not so green on the other side.
And best have a ton of money to take with you..to live off. to eat and get your house etc..
You think if money was so easily made in a diff country.. why do you see the natives still stuck with less than 200 dollars a month income? If you are retired and make decent money.. sure.. some countries you can live like a king with maids etc in a huge house.. until you get robbed or killed over stuff these people have wanted and you have. Or kidnapped for ransom because you are the rich american that takes their daily bread from the their kid`s mouth by taking away their business they depend on.
Unless you live in a gated community on a island with its own laws and alot of americans .. you better be aware that not everything is all sunshine and blue skies.
I have been in this situation and trust me... if you think you can live a better, safer live and have more freedom.. less crime and dont have to worry about food or shelter and can open a business making lots of money...and the .gov isnt going to keep tabs on you or is going down the drain etc.. go right ahead.... good luck and let me know how it is in a years time.
At least here I know I can defend myself with my weapons if someone comes onto my property while the second amendmnet is still intact ( and prolly will remain for a long time )
Not so many countries are this ( still ) gun friendly.
Guns may be banned in alot of EU countries.. or overseas somewhere but ..Russia. ..Chechnia etc are still importing/smuggling weapons left and right.. so there are guns and there is quite a lot of gun crime beeing commited.. you dont hear about it alot if you dont look for it... you dont read european news do ya?
I bet ya per capita there is alot more crime in different countries that you would ever hear about.. people dont tend to read or watch news from different countries if it doesnt concern their own backyard. Do some research and see what comes of it.
there is so much more to all of this than just moving there and living the good live.. religion, taxes, healthcare, local laws, state laws.. country laws, local .gov. miltary, gangs drugs, corruption ...employment once you need to get a job if something goes south... etc.. take all of this into consideration before you think the USA is such a bad place to live..
