(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
It was when I was little, we lived in a house and we had a lot of birds (hens, rooster, ducks, guineafowl, ...)
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
My grandma has 12 hens and newly we have 9 chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
12 brown hisex (I suppose) hens and 9 marans chickens (5 blue copper and 4 black copper).
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I don't want to support battery cages, I (and my family) want my own eggs and chickens are my favorite animal. I love to see chickens in the garden and freeranging.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I am studying maths and like sport, going out with friends.
(6) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
It was the first page google find me after typing "is my marans chick hen or rooster".
