"I dont wanna grow up, cause I'm a Toys R Us kid...."

I wouldn't do that to him.... I've thought about it, but.... He loves those drums and isn't half bad either. We bought him a new cymbal for Christmas and he got enough money to buy another one, so he is in heaven. My ears are ringing.

WELL, DH just shot a deer, and now we have to go track it!! MORE MEAT YUMMMM. Be back soon, and let you know whats up!

we only go to a few restaurants for various reasons: ( the local food thing, etc.) BUT: they know that, like Miss Prissy all the scraps go with me! And any left over food in the back! What the animals don't eat, goes into my compost!

I am sorry about the teen thing. Hey, since our daughter got married--it's been a whole new world. She now believes me when I tell her it's cheaper to use your clothes line!

deb my son is 14 and he is really getting good on his drums. It's funny because when I tell people he plays they look at me and try and console me. But it really doesn't bother me. I could count the times I've asked him not to play in the last 3 years on one hand. You know when you marry a musician it just comes with the territory. And just as I type this out my hubby just went and cranked up his guitar. Oh and our daughter plays trumpet. Friday I had drums and trumpet going on in separate rooms. It gets real fun when hubby is playing guitar in one room and the son is in his room on the drums playing something else. Meanwhile the youngest in on the pc playing some Winnie the Pooh or Yo Gabba Gabba clips.

HAHAHAHA! 27 yo is drums, 19 old electric guitar of the very heavy metal variety. 19 yo can play 7 instruments, and does at various times. It's a noisy house. In a good way.

NEWSFLASH: The 19 yo came home and gave me a hug. I just love these kids so much, I want them to succeed!!!!!

thats why my oldest has been doing for the past few years.

Ditto. Well said. We're so "job" oriented in this society that "making money" or "earning a living" doesn't mean anything sometimes. If I hear another iteration of "creating jobs" I'm gonna scream. It sounds like BUSY WORK. People don't need "jobs" - they need a way to earn money BUT this economy is set up so that the only people in it that actually get MONEY are the "fat cats," CEO's, corporational entities....in other words those who sit back and profit from the worker bees. Our economy is one BIG Ponzi Scheme....

Regarding the lawn mower and rake.... Deb lives in the high desert. Not many people have grass there. Most of it is desert landscaping that needs very little maintenance.

hehe Deb my son has a double bass drum peddle and he uses it!!!!!!
