I am ready to admit its a boy! But what about the other one?

You *may* have a fast-maturing pullet, given the complete absence of any pointy saddle feathers but it's more likely to be a slow maturing cockerel because even my faster-maturing girls aren't red in the face like that at 11 weeks.

Check for pointy saddles again in a couple weeks -- look right down under the other feathers.
Thank you. Will wait patiently, even if not hopefully. Will put feelers out for anyone wanting a young cockerel just in case. Not sure if 3 roosters will make a happy flock.

Another question. I do plan on keeping the one cockerel and seeing how things pan out with him and rooster. I am planning an extension to our coup that will about double it. Do you think I need a separate coop for the new rooster and any hens that may adopt him? Or if there is enough room, will they do fine in one coop? Thanks!

i Thought this was a boy but it was a girl! Take a look at her sister same age

That's a definite maybe.

Sometimes males will tolerate others, sometimes they remind you that we call it "cockfighting" for a reason. :(

I think I will proceed with keeping them together and see how it works. I do have an isolation coop that I can quickly setup if it doesn't go well. First I have to get my LC to regrow her feathers after a hawk attack so she can rejoin the flock!

Pretty sure my mystery australorp is a boy. Kept waiting and waiting and I think I am finally starting to see the saddle feathers (sickle feathers too). He will be 15 weeks on Tues. What do you think @3KillerBs ?
