I stopped being worried about size of food when I watched one of my pullets last summer swallow a frog... whole. And it was a big one!

WOW...ok, so I am not alone...

Phew! LOL

Last year my hen tore up and ate pieces of black trash bag and clear green house plastic.....I swear I never saw it come out the other end! That was last year...so I assume all is well....???

NO KIDDING! we dont have alot of green in our yard as it is small and in the city and dirt quality is too poor to get grass started- anyway...whenever I am at someones house and I see clover, soft grass or dandilion leaves my first instinct is to bend over and pick it with intent on feeding it to the chickens....LOL

My relatives must think I'm nuts as I will be bent over in their lawn 'grazing' LOL picking greens and shoving them into a walmart bag to take home to my birds.
