Now THIS is respectful disagreement.

By Golly Cetawin, I couldn't have said it better myself. WAY TO GO! You can bet your last dollar, if I have a predator, it WILL die one way or another! And you know what? I don't care what anybody thinks about it. That's my property, my chickens, and my problem to deal with any way that I want. Enough said.......

Thank you Cetawin!!! I would never attack anyone over their beliefs or how they control their problems whether I agree or not but I will say that once you have woken up and gone out to feed your PETS and find their guts scattered from one end of your property to the other because of a predator well it kinda makes it easier to take out the problem. I still cry over my Conda because she did not run from the dogs. She stood her ground and tried to save the others.

I could tell just by where the feathers were. So for those that have never experienced pain on that level with their pets I say you should keep your mouth shut. I would never intentionally go out and hunt down an animal that has never caused me harm just to kill it but if it asks for it well ya know. Now I recently had a predator that I could not kill because it was a human.

I sure wish I had a live trap for him though cause I would definitely relocate his butt. Okay I said my peace. Sorry if I offended anyone. I feel better now.

I say this with fear of being flamed...

If people are going to use the "If you can't say anything nice...." bit, it has to apply to you as well, you can't just whip it out when somebody rains on your parade. (I'm not specifically directing this towards the person/people who just used it in this thread) I've noticed a lot of people using that lately but, funny enough, they only use it when they want to shut up whoever is disagreeing with them. They don't seem to apply the same to themselves.

Furthermore, respect goes both ways. I've seen a whole lot of completely unprovoked bashing and ridiculing of people who choose NOT to kill predators, NOT to eat meat, NOT to decapitate their pet chickens, etc.

Very well said, I have witnessed this to myself on both side of any arguement. It is frustrating but overall I try to walk away.

Respectfully speaking:
Not everything in the Predator forum is asking how to KILL. Some of them ask about handling, and handling COULD mean relocating or releasing or predator proofing a coop. But as soon as you mention anything other that ending the life of the captured animal, the bashing begins. Ive seen people called idiot, ignorant, stupid at suggesting other than humanely killing.

Respect needs to come from both sides and advice can come in all forms.

JUST KIDDING! HA! I haven't the faintest idea what I'm doing out here. I'm totally making it up as I go. That's one of the reasons I love this site. It helps me understand the ins and outs of country living. Now if only someone would come over here and teach me how to use this 16 gauge I'd be all set...
