Man, I didn't even know we had shipping in this country on Sundays! I am definetely going to make an appearance at my post office before my chicks are do to arrive.

i think by all the doa chicks recently that i wouldnt order in febuary . glad i know this now where as i live in the northeast.

Oh, I'm so sorry for you and your chicks! This week has been a shipping disaster for everybody!!! It really makes me want to actually pick up my chicks from the hatchery next time. It'll be a long drive, but worth it. I didn't lose any chicks in shipping in January, but maybe it was pure luck.

Ideal is sending me more chicks but not until march 4th. they won't have any of them until then.

I'm so sorry for you loss. What a bummer. I do think it is the way the PO handles the shipments.

I just got mine in this morning from Ideal first time I ever ordered from a hatchery and so far so good. My PO called me as soon as they came in and had them by a heater as the bottom of their box was wet, not inside just the outside. I would give Ideal another chance.

Weird though I live in CT and it only took 2 days to get to here. I find it odd that people in closer states to TX it takes longer.

This is for Emmalyn. You are my new role model. The only improvement in your performance that I would suggest would be to lay on the floor and kick your feet. I once threatened a car dealer with that behavior and got immediate service. Good for you. The PO deserves to live in fear after a screw-up like that.

For what it's worth, I received a shipment from Ideal today also. The only iffy chick is a packing peanut, the other 18 look great.

They shipped my order Thursday, so 2 day transit to southern CA. I don't understand the length of transit on your shipment. Ideal ships Priprity Mail, which the post office claims is 2-3 day service (most in 2 days).

Oh that is so sad! it's irritating when the PO messes up a delivery, but when it's a pet, live little cute babies it's just so heart breaking! I'm scared to order with all these horror stories... I'll deffinately make sure there's no holiday when I order... I'm so sorry this happened
