Hello all -
New chicken-obsessed member here. One week ago today I brought home the chicks listed in my signature (there was one more Hamburg, but she died of unknown causes two days after she came here).
I am in southern Minnesota where it is still way too cold to have the chicks outside, so they are all in one of my back bedrooms. They are of different ages, from two weeks to 12 weeks, so they're in different brooders. I cannot believe how beautiful and entertaining they are. I find myself looking for excuses to go back to their room and then 20 minutes later I realize I've been standing there staring at them for 20 minutes. I was late for work every day last week because of this, and my house is a royal mess because I can't do any one thing for more than a half hour before I go back to "check on" my chicks.
I love BYC and am constantly on here looking up advice as I've had a number of health issues with my birds this past week. I am grateful for this forum.
Take care!
