OH, I'm so sorry she forgot to call you! I turned 46 this year, and my mom called me on my birthday and accused me of having a party for myself without her and my dad! Ummm, I was like, no I don't think I should have to throw a birthday party for myself. Everyone in my family was working, and I was alone for the weekend. When she called, I was outside cleaning out the chicken coops! haha

I think I would have preferred no call......She really made me feel like I meant nothing to her. Sooo I chalk it up to a learning experience, and I make sure never to forget my two son's birthdays.......Soooo import to let your kids know they mean so much to you.....

Happy Birthday!! I hope she calls you.. But if she doesn't call by a decent hour tonight, call her. I had to call and remind my step dad on my birthday. Not to make him feel bad about it, I did it because I didn't want him to feel bad for not remebering it until days later. He was glad that I did!! So go ahead, you never know what she might have going on in her life right now that made her forget your special day!

I have three boys and am a single mom....I rarely ever get presents or cards. Only my mother remembers.

I, for one, am quite content that no one remembers my birthday! I like to forget them myself!

Call your mama and say, "Hey, old biddy! Did ya forget my birthday???" Clear the air and get over this little, tiny thing in the broad blessings of your life.

We have a large family, and most people think birthdays are very special days. But it never fails....someone forgets. Count the blessings you have, and don't worry about the little things.

I use to make a point to go by and see my mother on my birthday (we lived close to each other)....I figured I owed her.

I know ya'll are a long distance apart but maybe you could call her and let her know you just wanted to touch base with the lady that carried you for 9 months, brought you into the world and cleaned many a poopy diaper for.

I wish I could go by or call my mother...but she went to heaven a year and a half ago.

Yep...that's how I see it. Be thankful if your mom still has her memory...some don't and it's very heartbreaking. Maybe, if your mom is getting up there in years, her memory is getting a little patchy? My dad has Alzheimer's and he couldn't remember his own birthday, let alone mine.

My mom's birthday is august 25th and I did forget on that day....I had remembered it a day or two before and like a week before but when it came to that day I totally spaced it off. I never have before but how I found out was that her and her boyfriend called me at like 11pm and I answered the phone thinking something was wrong cause they were calling so late. My moms boyfriend said you mom wants to know why you did not call her on her birthday. I was speechless I felt really bad I said oh it is today.....thought about it and said oh it is I told him I forgot and said sorry. My mom said she still loves me it is ok. I did talk to her and told her happy birthday....but I have never forgot before so they thought something was wrong with me so they called to find out what was going on.

I am sorry maybe she will still call.
