I am so weak...seriously....is this an addiction?? PICS ADDED!

Oh yeah ------ you better believe this is an addiction! We all feed off each other too!!!Why do you think we all have the Fuzzy Butt Fever? If we don't have some in the bator or the brooder or some coming from those dawg gone enabler hatcheries then we sit for HOURS at the computer on BYC looking longingly at others fuzzy pictures and when we here of others even getting some we tell them the number one rule here is they MUST post pictures as soon as the box hits the house!!! It just feeds the need for more babies. Oh and by the way I have more fuzzy's coming one week from today and I am counting the days, hours and minutes! My name is Trudy and ------ yes ----- I am a chick-a- holic. (and proud of it too---- so there!)

I know everyone has seen their share of EE pics, but I will have to share mine later!! They are just sooo cute!! Hubby doesn't know yet, but he really won't be surprised. He has come home to find the following: A Candada goose (full grown) in the bath tub, a squirrel in the bathroom, a turtle in the play pen, 2 tubs of baby chickens in the living room and 2 snakes in the shed. Not much surprises him anymore...lol!!

Really funny post! Great visuals, I can only imagine the look on your husbands face! I think I am going to do the same thing. Just start bringing stuff home! lol

I currently have four babies, they are two buff orps, and two RIR. I think that at least two of them are roo's and maybe three(thanks to the expertise here on BYC) So that means that I HAVE to get more! That's what I tell my husband anyway........

The fever has already hit me, but everytime I go to the feed store, they're closed! Is someone trying to tell me something??

Oh, but when we run out of feed, it's on!

My hubby came home and said..Where the heck did those 2 come from? lol..So I relplied.... I went to the feed store to get chicken feed and they jumped right into my car...LOL. He just laughed. I mean, after all HE was the one who said just 2 weeks ago... "You have to get rid of one to get one" Well I found my EE roo a home and got 2 more!!!

And yes..you have to get more..you just do!

I was thinking of asking for my own incubator for Christmas...
My husband will be home Friday after being gone for 4 months and although he knows about the two 7 week olds i have (I got "Let me guess - I'm gonna have to build you a coop") he doesn't know about the eggs in the borrowed incubator.

Won't he be surprised:/

Definately an addiction.. I had a lot of chickens growing up and then could have none for 20 years. I was always moving in the military. Now I am about to retire and have hatched several hundred since March... Was just as bad as the day I had to give up my last ones 20 years ago.

Don't even get me started. I wanted a modest flock of 6, at MAX. Four weeks later I bought another 6. I was given another 7, and now have a not-so-modest flock of 19. I excuse myself by swearing that banties only count for 1/2 a chicken.

Oh, and my mother, whos account I am hijacking to write this post, is currently incubating another 50! What the heck am I going to do with 50 chickens if I can't sell them all? Oh Lord...

She's also the mastermind behind the "imported egg mutual fund".

But what can I say? Like mother, like daughter. ^_^ I love me some chickens.
