Do you cover your runs?? With what if so. I've heard some say netting, and some say tin foil..that would be a lot of tin foil though.

I have wire on the tops but they fit through. I'm unable to use any size smaller due to our massive snow loads in the winter. I have to save up more than $1,000 to pay for solid roofing...

not read all posts and maybe stupid suggestion.

but could you get or even make some sparrow traps. we know they exist. and i bet you could make a party sized one pretty easily, like with a conical shaped wire entrance to a cage (maybe a biggish one) with some feed in it............

Don't they always say to start with what you have and work from there? Hmmmm - a little genetic engineering project possibly? House sparrows crossed with seramas and...easter eggers so you can have some nice proud looking sparrow sized birds that lay little green eggs daily
