I am soooooo SAD... Tommy is gone! :0(

I am so sorry to hear this. That is heartbreaking. I can't imagine how I would feel if I came back and some of our chickens were gone. I think it would be worthwhile to make an incident report to the police and to animal control. If anything (God forbid) would happen again this incident would be on file. And you never know...Tommy and Rolanda might be more to handle than the perps thought and they could set them loose or they could escape. You would DEFINITELY want to be notified in case they turn up somewhere. It's probably too late but some cars have distinctive tire tracks too. The police could narrow it down for you. I will subscribe to this post in hopes that they are returned. Please keep us updated.

My deepest condolences to you, on your loss. What is it with people now, no one has any respect for anything anymore.

File a police report, this may have happened to someone else too.
Hope you get some answers.

Sorry for your loss. A person who would steal another's turk should be condemned to perform their ablutions in the tank of a `honeydipper's' truck.
One of the inspirations that resulted in our expanding turk flock was our nearest neighbor's huge Bourbon tom (used to see him roosting on their deck railing in the dead of winter looking like a snow covered gargoyle). Someone stole him out of their front yard.

Wired security cams are getting cheaper every day (wireless/encrypted signal units are still a bit expensive). We've only `caught' wildlife, couch dumpers and males with bad prostates (road fronting property at bottom of long `dip'), so far.

I'd worry about whoever it was being emboldened by their `success'.

Good luck to you!
