I am soooooo SAD... Tommy is gone! :0(

Well, we filed a report with the police and game warden. Not much they could do. Neighbors didn't see or hear anything, but none are close.

Not a sign of Tommy and Rolanda. So quiet and sad around here. Pulling weeds yesterday and got a bunch done since I didn't have to push Tommy out of the way constantly. :0(

We just leave the cameras on 24/7 now. Putting a fence up front with a gate on the drive. People will have to make appointments to come see us. Dogs will not be penned when we leave any more. What a sad lesson to learn.

Roy and Tammy, the other two turkeys are now wild and cautious. They used to all come up for treats and petting with Tommy, but now just run if I reach out to them. I have a feeling whoever took the other two tried for these guys as well. Hope they will warm up to us again.

Make a huge sign on a piece of wood that says, "To whoever stole our two turkeys. Those birds were pets. Thanks for taking a part of our family from us.. blah blah blah". Someone here did that (for a go kart) and they ended up getting it back eventually because someone saw the sign and saw their neighbor with a new go kart. It's worth a shot!

What a great idea, if the sign does not work to get your 2 turkeys back at least it should shame the people who took them. They must live near you some where to know that you had such trusting turkeys that they could walk up to them and catch them. I would do the sign just to shame the person or persons who took them from you. They are truly the most vile of all predators, they knew better.​

I am so sorry you lost your babies. Its sad to hear that it is not only animals we have to look out for its humans as well.

Exactly! They will be back. I have a feeling it's someone they know.
