I have a young chick with a gimp leg that is particularly loud. My husband asked me, "Hun, where did you put that chick?" "Back in the box. Why?" "Because I swear I heard a chirp over here(points at bator)"

So I go to the bator and put my ear to it, and I hear a CHIRP! OMG!!

I missed my hatch!! I opened it up and there was a chick on the bottom shelf! I pulled the shelf out and had prolly 15 eggs marked 6/3. I Totally forgot about them/that date! And 2 more pips. And they were chirping, like "Somebody STOP THIS THING!" Im such a bad momma...

LOL!!
I think forgetting about them can be forgiven... as long as you found them in time. Two weeks from now... well... that would've been pretty bad.
More importantly... how did you forget about them???
I basically sit around with my nose pressed up against the 'bator when I'm not sleeping or at work.
LOL!!

Staggered hatch. That's how I forgot. I didn't write my set date but I remembered that I will have ducks in 1 week

Well with a name like Bird Brain....

JUST KIDDING!

We all have days like that. Soon, I'll be able to hide my own Easter Eggs!

I have never done a staggered hatch. Also, I have an LG styro-bator. The LG takes a watchful eye sometimes! Sounds like you have a cabinet 'bator.
DH won't let me get a "real" incubator because he's afraid I'll hatch every egg I see. Actually, I'm through with hatching for a while after this current hatch. (Locked-down a few hours ago)
Good luck with the rest of your "forgotten" chicks!
