How is your girl doing today? Did she ever calm down? Any new or different symptoms?

An hour or two, yes.

She's doing it when she breathes in though and that's concerning. If she had a respiratory infection though, she'd have other symptoms like bubbles in her eyes, sneezing, mucous in her nostrils...not eating or drinking, huddling up lethargic. She looks fine to me, but anxious.

Is her comb the normal color?

Yes it is. This is the first time she has done this. I will keep an eye on her for those signs. She did it for a long time, she finally stopped after a long time. She still was scratching and eating

My hen just laid her first egg and is making this really weird sound

Please help me! She is not even a year old, we have 5 other pullets, and she just layer her first egg!

I see that this resolved on its own. Normally it will, she was experiencing Stridor which is when some food/water, debris or mucous gets in the airway. Usually Stridor will resolve within 24hrs.
