I am very concerned and becoming very heart broken...:0(

Speckledhen~ I just went out and checked the smell and there is an ammonia smell much more than usual. There has been a huge fog this last week and everything is coated in moisture. I haven't closed the window to their coop so perhaps it's getting to moist in there.

Oh and this morning they didn't seem to have the wet beaks.

I have probably totally over reacted. I am almost sure i have.

However i want to thank everyone that has helped me. I am going to start by cleaning out their coop today and getting some of the Vet RX to just have on hand.

I will let you all know how it goes in the next couple of days.

Again thanks to you all. I would NEVER have suspected i would get so upset over chickens.

I bet there's your answer. I'm happy to be of service here. We've had terrible ammonia issues lately with almost non-stop rain and warmer temps than usual. I have to clean out the shavings many more times than I normally would in dry weather.

I would leave the window open, though. The more dampness, the more air flow you need. If you close it down, it will be even worse. The poop and respiration are what cause most of the moisture.
