Leghorn would have white ear lobes.. Those look like red lobes which may be (white) Rocks or Rhode Island whites.. Both have straight combs and yellow skin and I haven't kept either recently so not sure how to discern them.

Which hatchery they came from may give clues.

White Rocks, probably.

Red ear lobes, combs too small for leghorns, and not laying yet.

Sorry you didn't get your Delawares. I love Delawares and they've been hard to come by the last couple years.

From a local feed store. They get their chicks from ideal hatchery in Cameron Texas.

I get most of my birds from Ideal. I've always been happy with them.

Feed stores are notorious for mixing up chicks and it's not always their fault -- I've actually seen chicks jumping to the top of their bin and jumping down into the next bin on their own with no assistance from customers or staff.
