So, I went to a popular auction site and purchased 7 peafowl eggs from 3 different seller. I have never purchased eggs online before and when they came in, I immediately put them in the incubator. I then went to a market place event and bought 5 more peafowl eggs and 2 pheasant eggs.

The 7 eggs (except for 2) I purchased online are all due to hatch beginning yesterday. When I candle, I am getting poor results. One is pretty much clear. Two have detached air sacs and 2 show no signs of growth. After some online investigation, I found out a couple of days ago that I should have let them rest for at least 24 hours, small end down, before putting them in the incubator. (2 I received a few days later, one seems to be growing great. The other is a little behind and I'm not sure it will survive.)

The 5 peafowl eggs and 2 pheasant eggs are doing well. So far, they all look like viable eggs. The pheasants are due to hatch on the 29th and the peafowl eggs are due on the 31st.

What an expensive lesson I learned!! I just wanted to pass that on in the event someone else was out there that hadn't purchased their eggs online before.
