These store-bought eggs look like mutants compared to my girls' little blue-green ones.
My girls are molting so I haven't had any eggs in nearly 3 weeks -

Sure hope they resume laying when they get their feathers back.

We are getting 3 to 4 and 5 at the most a day from my 16 hens since about two weeks ago. I think they might be losing a few feathers too. I guess I'll find out about molting soon.

Just got over a "bad case of the molts".

Started right before Thanksgiving, so we had to buy eggs for all the baking for a family reunion. I had to tell people that all of our stuff was not baked with our own eggs.

We are just now getting eggs again but only enough for the family. No extras for Christmas gifts for the neighbors this year.
