Cockerel8 week old silver laced Wyandotte. Pullet or roo?
Probably a cockerelHi
Would it be ok if someone could sex my little chick? She (he) is 30 days old
Looks like a rooster
thanks so much!I’m not experienced with silkies, but it’s looking like a pullet
Too young
First is probably a pullet, need individual pictures for the rest
6 and 7 are definitely cockerels, 5 and 9 are probably cockerels, the rest are too young to be sure
thank youHere are my guesses....don’t bet money on ‘em though....
The RIR No. 6 is almost certainly a cockerel.
Among the EEs it’s a bit more tricky, but I think No. 4 and 8 are pullets while 1, 2, 5, and 7 are likely cockerels. Numbers 3 and 9 are too young to tell.
Most people would say that 5-6 weeks is best. However, at that age, there will be a lot of guessing. In my opinion, 10-12+ weeks is a lot better time to post since you’ll get much more accurate answers.I have a question about when the best time to post pics and ask about gender would be. My bantams are 5 weeks old now, mixed flock. I’m fairly confident that 2 of my 3 Easter Eggers are cockerels. And I have no idea about my Buff Brahmas.
Thanks! I figured it was still too early. Their combs are just really starting to be noticeable. Most people would say that 5-6 weeks is best. However, at that age, there will be a lot of guessing. In my opinion, 10-12+ weeks is a lot better time to post since you’ll get much more accurate answers.
