Are they all pullets or am I going to have some roosters? The person I bought them from got them from a hatchery. They are approximately 3 months old.
Hatcheries don't make that mistake, you can rest assured yours are all pullets. Second generation means a person buys a flock of sexlinks (say, Golden Comet) from a hatchery and then sells the offspring as Golden Comets. They either don't understand how it works or don't care that they are misleading people.

EEs have many different colors on them. a Americanas just have one color on them. So if a Americana is Brown it will be all brown. There won't be any mixed in on her or him.
Here is a Americana.View attachment 1035172See how it's all brown.
There are Lots of different color of them, like blue, white, and black, Also more!

There are only certain colors recognized as Ameraucanas. Chocolate isn't one of them but it's a project color. To add confusion, EEs can be solid colors. But, by definition, a breed will breed true. EEs make themselves obvious quickly when you breed them but you can't tell this by looking at a chick. You probably can tell if you visit the pens (you'll see them grouped by color) but that's still not 100%. It's easier to just say that if you get it at a feed store, it's almost certainly an EE.
