So if you want to bred 100% blue laced red chicks you breed a black and a splash laced together so every chick will have exactly 1 copy of the gene

Yeah so when you breed 2 BLRs together you get 50% blue lace chicks (50% chance of inheriting 1 copy of the the diluted gene from either parents)
25% splash (25% chance of inheriting both parents diluted genes)
And 25% black laced (25% chance of inheriting neither of the parents diluted genes)

So It's basically BBS except with laced chickens.

Can you please help me with the sex of my two 9 week old GLW's? The gold one seems quite rooish, the black one less so. I have seen them play fighting which has me worried...

The larger one with more gold on It is a cockerel and the other a pullet.
You've got yourself a lovely little pair! ^.^
