Last night as I was sitting at the dinner table, I heard one of the peeps making a strange noise. I thought maybe it was distressed, head caught in between some wires or something, but when I went to check on them, all was fine. This morning as hubby and I were preparing the ex pen for them, I heard the noise again. Only I heard it more clearly. Then it made the noise again, and I looked at my husband, and said, "I think that's a chicken crowing." He agreed with me! The peepers will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. I didn't know they would crow so young!

Yup, they can start young. My wellie roo started crowing at 4 days old. Sounded like someone strangling a trombone player.

My other rooster is named Ford because when he started crowing, he sounded like a Model T horn.
