Hey Robin
My mom lives in Newton and says her heating fuel ran out last week. Do you think she will be OK if she uses blankets and stuff at night?
I live on the other coast and our weather here is mild even on the worst nights.

77horses welcome to the thread. I hope your teacher returns next year for you.

We move next week. I hate to move and I won't even be able to help much so DD and DH will have to do most of the work. I don't have much family nearby to help either.

Thanks, Usually I just ignore them because they don't understand why we would want so many kids. Yesterday was just one of those days where everything upset me.

Around here it's been in the upper 30s and low/mid 40s at night. Your mom is quite a bit further west than I am so it might be a bit cooler where she is, but I would think she should fine with blankets at night.

That's really cute, but it is expensive. All this baby stuff is expensive! The crib set I want is on sale right now for $143 and is usually $179, so I may have to go ahead and splurge even though the baby's not coming for another 4.5 months!

You think it's expensive there, check it out on Amazon

I was very fortunate all the other pieces. They were on the Babies R Us website CHEAP... got the 4 piece bedding set for less than $55! I'm SO GLAD I went ahead and ordered it because not long after I did they sold out of it. Have you shopped around for better prices on the set you want?

The cheapest I've found the set I want is $143. eBay has some of it listed, but most of it is being sold for the same prices as at the stores.

you guys are making me feel cheap again haha!

if i had a house big enough to have a nursery, i would totally want to get stuff like that, but this new little one has a little corner in my room..next to my sewing machine!
when he moves in with his sister around 5-6 months old though, i plan on decorating for him. for now, he has his blankets and i am going to get him some sort of musical toy to soothe him to sleep.

again, it's not their business. I don't blame you for being upset by it.
I used to get comments from probably the same type of person about why I didn't have children...
I'm all attitude today so today I'd be telling the commenters exactly how rude I think they are!

Hello everyone...

I had the sad story about eclampsia and losing my daughter @ 34 weeks.
I'm now 7 weeks preg (4 months later)
My doc dumped me. Argh. Guess the tragedy was too much for her to take, or i look like a walking lawsuit waiting to happen, I don't know.
Too early to get excited about it yet, but I at least something is started....

Oh, and regarding the rude comments... you aren't kidding. EVERYONE has something to say when you just went thru a tragedy.
(Why so soon? You almost died, do you want to die again? Aren't the kids you have enough? Aren't you scared?)

My rote answer is usually "you're SO right, time to get an abortion scheduled!" I've used it twice and both times they just stood there mouth agape with no answer. It'a made some very awkward moments but COME ON. You don't try to take down someone that's just been thru hell, you know?
