Part of me feels like crying and part of me feels like kicking his tail once he gets here. We'll see which side wins when he walks through the door. Darn these hormones!

ETA... I just got through to him. He's on his way home, worked late... I broke down and started crying after I told him he needs to call me when he's going to be this late...

I saw about the slings....but you do have to keep an eye on them so they can breath. Just common sense I would think. I love the slings. Keeps hands off baby at Walmart or chicken shows...LOL

Glad your DH made it home. Darn those hormones!

That wasn't the heartbreaking video I thought it was going to be. I saw Katie Curic's coverage on the evening news and it had this 911 call part in it. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=6292081n

I can't get the one I want to play to load. Click on "Dangers of Baby Slings" on the right hand side.

I can see where the baby's neck getting bent too far forward could definitely be a danger.

I agree, common sense would prevent alot of bad things from happening.

I used a sling with #5 when he was able to hold his own head up but put him in so he was facing outward. It was a life saver because I didn't have a double stroller and that way #4 could sit in the stroller or cart when we went away.

I think the slings that are getting the attention are the ones they lay down in. I used both with mine but checked on the baby every minute seems like.

The one I had the baby could lay down but he hated it. He cried when I put him in laying down. Thats why he always ended up facing outward when he got a little older.
