I try not to think about it, but it's always going to be in the back of my mind that I'm more likely to have that be the outcome of this pregnancy than most...
So, yeah. Baby's dad is thinking about decorating the clothes I bought with my fabric paints

I'm supposed to be looking them up to see if they're safe for use on baby clothes, but I can't see why they wouldn't be.

thanks for the reassurance

my partner was bewildered by my sudden NEED to buy a pack of sleeper suits for the baby!

I never thought about loosing a baby until I had a miscarriage....now it is always in the back of my mind.

Has anyone here been on bed rest towards the end of their pregnancy?

I have a feeling I might be on bed rest towards the end of June....I do a lot of work (animal work), and sometimes I overwork myself. We also have stairs in the house that I can barely go up and down....

My family would be lost if I went on bedrest..... I have a feeling my bloodpressure will land me on bedrest towards the end. Not sure who would take care of my 3 youngest kids. At least my 12 year old is homeschooled and he could help me out some.

Can you set up a bed downstairs so you don't have to climb stairs?

I'm on it now. Not complete bed rest, thank God, but partial. I can sit up in the recliner in the living room but I'm not supposed to be doing housework, etc.... just trying to keep the BP down a couple more weeks.

Listen to your body. If your legs/ankles/feet start swelling up while working then you're probably overdoing it. Try to rest as much as you can, with your legs up.

DH is hopefully going to be going back to his old job soon, plus he is going to be taking summer classes at the college. So that means I will be home by myself a lot. HE says if I go into labor to call an ambulance, but I am terrified of them (don't ask why....), and I seriously don't want to make a huge scene around here..... So we are trying to convince my MIL to have my friend come over to help us out. She will be living here for a while, taking care of what I can't do. In return, free room and board (since we buy our own food), plus letting her ride my horse.

Ive had surgery 2 yrs ago, which they had to collapse my lungs. Now I have complications from that, so getting up/down stairs is a workout. Also, with the baby getting bigger, everything is compacting together which isn't helping ( I get bad coughing fits a lot where my chest tightens and I can't breathe).

There is no place downstairs to set up a bed....unless I go in the brooder room with the chickies!

But I think they will be out of there by then.

So i know im probably just worring but last night i woke up with a bad pain in my lower back on my right side then ive been having these sharp stomach pains they go away almost instantly just really quick like if i cough, stand up, sometimes if i just press on my stomach it hurts is this normal or should i call the OB i wondered if it was because i havent used the # 2 but then i did today and i stilll get these sharp pains? hmm... thanks for readingmy ramble!

it sounds like what I experienced a few weeks back - round ligament pains. I had to ask here too because I had no clue. If you're worried, though, it's worth the time to call them.

yes, that lovely round ligament pain..its best experienced at 3 in the morning when you forget you are big and pregnant and bolt upright in an attempt to make it to the bathroom in time.
