Today was the last straw. I noticed Thor had an abscess on the side of his face. It seems bedding got packed in and got infected.
The chicken drama really got to me today. Thor and I took a walk out behind the shed. He is now sailing his viking ship in the great beyond.
After I cleaned up I went to check the girls. One by one I inspected each one AND removed saddles. They all look healthy, a couple a little worse for wear but healthy. Went in and watched fro the kitchen window. It kinda looked like the first scene in Much Ado About Nothing when the girls are bathing. Too cute.
NOW I hope things go smoothly for a while. Temps are warm and they get out more.
