I can't get the humidity up!

I am getting ready to pull my turkey eggs off the turners to hatch but I cannot get the humidity up past 50% any tips on getting this up

Use some very hot water when it's time to fill, this will bring it up well and fast.

I cut an old wash cloth into strips. Lay one end in the water, the other hangs out, acts like a wick. I guess you could use string or even shoe strings?

Did you calibrate your hygrometer??? If you didn't don't add til you have... or you'll drown them if it's off by 20% or more.

All you really should need to do is add some sponges soaked with warm water....but be careful, you could end up with too much humidity. If it goes too high, take a sponge out one at a time, and each time you do, give it time to adjust...like 45 minutes to an hour. Good Luck!
