I can't imagine living in the North....

Every time I hear of those creatures, I start shaking in my shoes(well, slippers right now). My friend told me how her little brother was building a sand castle once... they heard him screaming and came out to find him covered in ants. He's fine now, but... *shivers*

I heard Colorado autumns and winters are great. I wish I could visit there just once in my life. *sigh* To not be tied down...

We're in the middle of a Blizzard, it started last night and will continue blowing and snowing till tomorrow sometime.

I'm so tired of hearing the wind howling!

I too feel bad for those who live up north and have to deal with lots of snow every year.

I'm happy in the wet damp soggy pacific north west where big snows happen every few years and last for about a week.. I don't think we had snow this year so far. Just cold weather. Have to say though, 60's are ideal temps... it's 63 inside my room....

These were last year!

I really dislike Florida and i have lived here 20 yrs now. I am looking to move anywhere but here. Originally from New England, and I love it there, but just too darn expensive to live there sooooo, PA? VA? W VA would be lovely, Tenn maybe? Western N. Carolina? I love the cold , snow etc, just requires preparedness, just like we prepare now for hurricanes.

If I had my dream I would be living in Vt. It may happen yet

Whoever the gal is that originally started this post -

I AM SO JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely thrive HOT weather. I was born in Minnesota - talk about brrrrrrrrrrr!! We just recently moved to Iowa, because that is as far South as my husband is willing to go, so I took it. Still darn cold and snowy, but it's a titch better than the frozen tundra

I'm from Winnipeg and I LOVE the snow! I know this sounds crazy but without snow there is no winter, without snow there is no Christmas, and without snow life is so boring. But I can say that in March I am ready for spring and the snow to go away.

Same here. Snow's good for the soil anyway.

Getting bundled up and braving the cold in the mornings is just part of life. But on these crystal clear cold mornings when the stars are shining, the world is still, I can smell the woodsmoke from our burner, the chickens greet me with soft clucking, it's a great morning.
