The humidity in my incubator is climbing - 67%. Just five minutes ago, I emptied out the tiny bit of water it had in it and dried it. It went down to 55% then started going up. I opened it for 5 minutes, but it didn't make a difference. I even have my air con on, but nothing seems to work. Is the hygrometer not working?
PS: I bought the incubator of ebay and it said it was a still air. When I was emptying the water from it, I found two little fans!

If its the hydrometer on the incubator than it's probably not working. You need a separate thermometer with a hydrometer.
Where are you from? Is your humidity high where you have your incubator running?

I am in Australia, and the humidity is decreasing as we are going into Winter, but is still at 45%. I have a different thermometer and it is saying similar temperatures to the one in the incubator. Thankfully, last night, the humidity slowly went down to 30% ( I was up at 1 am watching it as the incubator is in my room). This morning I added a little more water and it went up to 42%. I think the incubator just needed time to adjust, as I only turned it on yesterday arvo. I would like to buy a backup hygrometer (just to be sure), but I live in a rural area and it might be hard to get. Oh, well, I think it will be fine! Happy easter!

You can put some dry rice in a stocking or some such. It takes the humidity down and test your hydrometer . I forget how. It takes 24 hrs and salt. LOL Im sure theres a link somewhere....
