I can't make a decent dunky egg. Please help!!!

I have one of these that I use occasionally to fully cook a few eggs.

It's quicker than doing a full pot of water on the stove. She's 'called Henretta Hen' just the product name (I'm not crazy & name my kitchen appliances

). It whistles when they're done. I like to let mine sit in there unplugged an extra few minutes because we like fully cooked firm yokes. There are a few on ebay I seen so they are available there there anyway. One was even up to $41.00 That's Nutts

It's wierd. Last time I looked for egg steamers they were all over. Now I can't find
many online.

My favorite meal is breakfast for supper. It is my kids as well.

Couple of ?'s mcbucks do you like the Racheal Ray pans? Are they worth the big bucks?

And Randy what are cathead biscuits and do you have the recipe, and will you share it please?

Sorry guys I'am partial to a good cast iron griddle.Well seasoned!

I spray the griddle with cooking oil spray,then heat the griddle to low med. heat. Cook egg to med firmness on the bottom.Then spay a little cooking spay on top.Flip the egg on it's top for about ten seconds.Then flip it on to a plate.

Must admit once in a great while I break a yoke when flippin on to a plate.

Some times if you get the pan too hot before you put the egg in,the yolk will break,and the bottom will be crusty.

Used to drown my eggs in oil when cooking them.Don't do that anymore,and don't care too.

If you cook in butter remember you have to keep the heat low.Butter burns quick!

I've not read the entire thread, so I may be repeating someone else. After working at Waffle House for too many years to count, I learned the most important thing needed for cooking over easy eggs (or over medium, if you prefer) is the pan. I go for a non stick, heat it slightly, spray with either a pam or similar product, OR use a LITTLE oil or butter, and crack the egg into the pan. Let it heat until the white is actually white, and it's ready to be flipped with an easy flick of the wrist. Until you get the hang of the flip, you may want to do it over the sink, lol. I learned that the hard way...no pun intended.
