I don't think this is the same one, but i read a "horse book" not too long ago by a supposed "acclaimed" writer (be darned if I can remember her name). It was about a gal who was a rider and get to this track and there is a murder mystery and she hads to solve it and of course peril and a rediculously non-plot related "love scene" in the middle.......man, what was the name of that literary masterpiece???

Oh, now this IS gonna bug me....black cover, red writing......hmmmmm

on a side note, there is a book called "Death by Dressage" - how true, how true. LOL!!
