SWEET BEAST!!! I love snakes, too. I had a corn snake once whose name was Stheno (one of Medusa’s sisters). She came with that name and it was PERFECT for a snakelet <3.

I had a young Black Racer snake nip me on one of my fingers this morning when I opened one of my chicken coops. Of course I was pulling on his tail at the time. One of my employees asked me if I killed it and I said nah and that I wouldn't want my tail pulled early in the morning either. This makes the fourth snake I have removed from the coop this summer; two king snakes, a rat snake, and now the Racer. All were young so I know their Moms and Dads are probably in our 100+ years old storage building that we call the Big House. If they happen to make an appearance in the coop, I may have a tough choice to make as I generally just re home non-poisonous snakes. In my five years living on the family home place, I have not seen any copperheads though which is one reason I don't mind these other types hanging around.
