I could not wait, so what are these?

that first one is a black australorp cockerel, 3.5-4 weeks old.

I'm guessing the second is a cockerel too....about 3 weeks old

the third one is hard to tell, does it have a pea comb or a single comb? If its a single comb, I would say it was a pullet. If it is a pea comb then its hard to say from the photo. It looks younger than the others, 2 weeks or younger I would say.

1- black sex link(I think. but the white chest is questioning....maybe an Austrolope?) and rooster
2-I really think is a red star/red sex link(rooster)
3- younger, not sure(may be red sex link(pullet)??? or buff orpington with mix of something else? may just be a mutt chick.

this is what a red star(a.k.a red sex link) male chick looks like:(this one is older than yours) http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/CGP/Sex-links/Eric.JPEG

luckily
with this breed, you can tell the gender by looking at the color.males=light, white and some brown on wings. females=light tan/light brown colored.

Black
Austrolope chick:http://www.henwaller.com/images/sep2003.jpg (I'm actually leaning towards this one for the chick in first pic, instead of black sex link. see the white chest?)

red sex link pullet/chick: http://images.google.com/imgres?img...-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=Oc8&sa=X (notice the color of wings. same as your chick)

If you want to keep a rooster, I would wait until they have matured enough to see what they look like physically. And even more importantly, their personalities will develop.
