I did a bad thing (chicken math!)

I went to the co-op today because I'm a glutton for punishment I suppose) & ended up bringing home some new friends, 2 RIR & 2 EE. They look to be about the same age as my group so I tossed them in together & so far so good, they are kore worried about the oats than one another.
My husband has banned me from the co-op & the feed store

It's hard to visit those places when they have chicks! I weaken just about every year, and bring home extras, especially when they are on sale!

Sure we have all been bitten by the bug ordered 5 speckled sussex for a friend yesterday at the feed store we go to Mom and Pop style nice young folks there well got her 5 but also 5 for me

Yep chicken math is a tough thing to fight. ACD= addictive chicken disorder. Started 1 1/2 years ago with 5 pullets. Now I have 24 chickens, 9 Turkeys and 6 Quail. Is there any hope???

Many many years ago I started out with 6 birds. Now I have so many I can't count them. I don't buy chicks I hatch them out. I started out with one styrofoam incubator. I still use the styrofoam incubators as hatchers. I bought a couple of cabinet incubators. I did sell one of the cabinets but I still use the other one. I admit I'm a hatch-a-holic.

I'm starting to move birds around to get a head start on setting up my breeding coops and pens. First I do a major clean where I clean out all of the coops and take a power washer to them then clean everything. We're having some nice drying weather.

Don’t feel bad. I “rescued” two bins of two week old assorted rare pullets with the rationale that it was wrong they were still stuck in the bins with no room left and I had converted an entire 9’ x 10’ room in my attic into a brooder that was empty.
