I did it! Come be happy with me.

Wow!! I think that is AWESOME!! I can only imagine how hard it must have been getting through the toughest time. Doesn't it feel good to know it's behind you now? You won!!

know this sounds strange, but I'm pretty sure I have a sugar addiction and I am struggling with that myself. I've never smoked, but stopping myself from eating something sweet everyday feels impossible. I'm not overweight (yet, haha), but I can't go more than a day without it. So, I'm pretty sure I'm an addict. There, I said it!! To all of you!!

(Isn't that the first step on my way to winning??)

Thank you all. In a way I tricked myself. I have been a smoker almost 20 years. I can't stand to be embarrassed. It is like the worst thing in the world for me. I would just rather die than be embarrassed. Anyway, I was asked to go on a ladies retreat with my church. I knew that I wanted to quit but would never be able to do it here at home. So I made my decision 3 weeks before leaving for my retreat. I knew no one at that entire facility would be smoking and therefore I would be embarrassed to tears to be the only one smelling of smoke and hiding in the way back of the building smoking. So at 2pm May 14th I got in the truck to go on my retreat and never looked back. The ladies kept me busy and I had no idle time on my hands.

When I got home yesterday my 8 year old asked if I had brought him a prize from my trip. I had not gotten him anything because the place where we were at was very expensive. I felt bad and I looked at him and I said, "Son the only prize I bought you was that I quit smoking." He began to cry and my 8 year old said that this was better than any toy I could have bought him in the whole world!

I try not to be a very boastful person but I am so proud of me. This was so hard and I want you all to know that if you are struggling with an addiction be it candy or cigarettes or alcohol or worse there is hope and you can do it. This is the best feeling in the whole world. Seriously it rates right up there with the birth of my children. It is awesome.

Woo Hoo!!!! Great Job!!! I quit smoking 3-21-08 when I took a long weekend with my Mom & Sister who didn't know I smoked. I went 4whole days with no smoking and then just continued! Keep Up the Good Work!!!
